What value should I insure my bicycle for?
For bicycles purchased new and less than 3 years old, we suggest listing your bicycle at the recommended retail price. For bicycles older than 3 years or purchased second hand, the total bike value should be reflective of the depreciated value, starting from the original date of purchase. We apply 20% for the first year, further 10% for the second year and then a further 5% for each subsequent year thereafter.
