Traveling outside of the UK with your bicycle? Add our optional worldwide cover to extend your cover for up to 365 days abroad (limited to 90 consecutive days per journey). Enjoy stress-free travel with your bicycle covered for loss or damage en route to your destination.
Select racing cover to insure your bicycle if the damage is caused by a specific incident, crash, impact, or road hazard while taking part in a race or event. You don’t have to choose it and pay for it if you don’t want your cover to extend to races.

Our cyclist insurance comes standard with public liability cover up to £2,000,000, personal accident cover up to £20,000 in the event of death or permanent injury, and private medical for costs up to £1,000.
Approved locks vary depending on the insured value of the bike: Bikes worth less than £1,000 – Sold Secure, Silver rated lock. Bikes worth £1,000 or more – Sold Secure, Gold rated lock. Visit the Sold Secure website to find out the rating of your lock.
Yes, we love pedal power! We cover all electric ‘pedal assist’ bikes with up to 250 watts of maximum output and a top speed of 15.5 miles per hour. Please note, that you are not covered for and will not receive any benefit in respect of your e-bike unless its specified as covered on your Policy Schedule.
We don’t cover bicycles fitted with internal combustion engines or other sources of power assistance. Your e-bike must have started off life as an e-bike, and not be a retrofitted regular road bike or mountain bike.
Here’s the full definition, if you’re in any doubt: “If reflected as covered in the schedule as an Electric Bicycle, a vehicle or vehicles, insured hereunder, consisting of two wheels held in a frame one behind the other, propelled by human power with pedals (but assisted by an electric motor of no more than 250 watts maximum power output, such electric motor should not be able to propel the bicycle when it’s travelling at more than 15.5 miles per hour) and steered with handlebars attached to the front wheel. The power output or manufacturer of the motor and the battery’s voltage or maximum speed of the bike must be displayed.”
We know that getting caught up in a collision with a vehicle is every cyclists’ worst nightmare, and we want to give you one less thing to stress about. Whether or not the driver is insured, your bicycle will be covered under our bicycle insurance and we’ll either repair or replace your bike as soon as possible. If you get covered with our cyclist liability insurance, you’ll also receive personal accident cover up to £20,000.
Yes, our bicycle insurance coverage includes your immediate family which shall mean any child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, spouse, sibling, life partner, or civil partner and shall include adoptive relationships, given they are over 16 years old and reside at your home on a permanent basis.
