Home & contents insurance is designed to do what the name says - cover the standard contents of your home, in your home.
While it may provide partial cover for items taken out of the home, it’s unlikely to cover your road bike if you crash while riding or racing, for theft away from home, and damage or loss while in transit.
We cover your road bike while it’s locked at home, for damage while you’re riding or racing, in-transit in the UK, and even worldwide if you activate this optional cover.
Value for money
While home & contents insurance may provide some cover for your road bike, there may be limitations to the value they insure, and they’re unlikely to cover many of the situations unique to cycling.
Our insurance has been custom-designed to give you comprehensive cover suited to your needs, while maintaining a competitive price. Plus, if you decide this cover isn’t for you, you can cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period. No questions asked, no penalties.
Unlike most home & contents insurance policies, we also don’t increase your premiums if you claim.

What we cover
Getting your bike stolen is just about the worst thing that can happen, but don’t worry - we cover theft from and away from your home.
Whether it's a high speed crash or a coffee stop tumble, we’ll get you back on your bike either by repairing your bicycle or replacing the damaged parts.
If you regularly transport your bike on your roof, chances are that someday you’ll forget your bike is there while driving into your garage. Oops. Don’t worry, we cover your bicycle when you transport it on your car.
If your beloved machine is pinched, we'll cover your bike new for old. Remember to keep your proof of purchase info, we'll need it for your claim.
Entrusting transport of your bicycle to an airline, ship, train, or truck while you’re travelling? No stress. We can cover your bicycle for loss or damage in transit anywhere in the UK.
If you lock your bike up and return to find it has been damaged, either by a vandal or by a thief trying to steal it, we’ll cover the costs to repair it to its previous condition.
We will reimburse you up to £250 for the reasonable costs of transportation for you and your bicycle, if your bicycle suffers a breakdown and cannot be repaired at the breakdown scene.
We will reimburse you up to £500 for bicycle hire or the reasonable use of public transport while you await the repair or replacement of your bike, arising from an approved claim.
Comprehensive cover
We love upgrades, gadgets and accessories as much as you do. Insure custom parts fitted to your bicycle, (such as upgraded carbon handlebars or a dropper seatpost), accessories (such as your cycling kit, GPS, or headlight) up to the value of £5,000. You can also cover the kit you’re wearing while you ride.
Traveling outside of the UK with your bicycle? Add our optional worldwide cover to extend your cover for up to 365 days abroad (limited to 90 consecutive days per journey). Enjoy stress-free travel with your bicycle covered for loss or damage en route to your destination.
Select racing cover to insure your bicycle if the damage is caused by a specific incident, crash, impact, or road hazard while taking part in a race or event. You don’t have to choose it and pay for it if you don’t want your cover to extend to races.
One set of hoops for racing and another for training? Add additional wheelsets to your policy so you can swap your wheels to suit your ride with total peace of mind.
