1. What does Legal Cover include?
It provides up to £250,000 in legal expenses for cycling-related issues such as injury claims, bike damage disputes, defence against cycling offences, and contract disagreements. It also includes 24/7 legal advice and counselling support.
2. Who provides the legal cover?
The cover is arranged by Sundays insurance and administered by Temple Legal Protection, underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Ltd.
3. When does legal cover apply?
Cover applies for incidents that occur and are reported during the policy period. A claim will only be accepted if it has a reasonable chance of success.
4. Are there legal cover limits or thresholds?
Yes. Any claim for damage or contract disputes must exceed £100. The maximum cover is £250,000 per claim and £1,000,000 per policy period.
5. Where does the legal cover apply?
- Personal injury related claims – Worldwide
- All other claims – United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands
6. What’s not covered under legal cover
- Pre-existing disputes
- Reckless or criminal behaviour
- Claims involving motor vehicles
- Any legal costs incurred before claim approval
- Any claims relating to the running of a business.
